Region 3 - Southwest: Peter Wright
Lives In: Washington, PA
Students: Daughter - 8th Grade
With Agora: 8 Years
Bio: I am a 53 year old dad who became disabled in 2003 the year before our daughter was born. Before becoming disabled I had the pleasure of working for a private contractor on Ft. Bragg. Our company was in charge of all repairs for the solders on base housing, we serviced approximately 5,300 homes. I became a LBKA (left below the knee amputee) in September 2011. I have started a support group for amputees with the assistance of Dr.'s Lowery and Marks for the Washington community. I speak to amputees and those considering amputation telling them my journey that resulted in me becoming an amputee. When it came time for our daughter to attend school we tried the local brick and mortar school, it didn't work out. Our local librarians recommended Agora as many of the local residents in our area were using the curriculum and Agora used the library for meetings. My goal as a APTO representative is to assure that each student receives the very best education that Agora can provide and to assist with communications between parents, teachers, staff and administration.
